In-House Testing Capabilities:
Substrate Characterization
Prior to work starting, all substrates are characterized for Particle size (by laser diffraction and sieve), Sands to fines ratio, Clay content using Methylene Blue Index, solids content and specific gravity.
Polymer Reactivity Testing
To quickly screen a suite of polymer chemistries for effectiveness in terms of structure, dosage, shear sensitivity, water quality and quantity.
Static Settling Testing for Thickener Applications
To test a portfolio of polymers for a thickener application in terms of settling, overflow quality and underflow compaction.
Dynamic Laboratory Centrifuge
Testing designed to compare polymer programs under process conditions for dose optimization and KPIs such as centrate quality and cake solids.
Focused Beam Reflectance Measurement Probe - FBRM
To measure in-situ floc size and idea mixing conditions, floc stability and the impact of polymer chemistry, architecture and dosage.
End of Pipe Product Screening
Testing identifies the best polymers and treatment regimens based on customer KPIs, covering both immediate and mid-term deposition performance. Immediate factors include floc shear, water release and quality, 24-hour solids, and rheology; mid-term factors include segregation, predicted one-year solids, and consolidation.
